A reflection of our working assumptions

Each of us experiences life through a unique set of working assumptions. These working assumptions are a product of our life experiences - where and how we grew up, the communities we belong to, the work we do, the people we choose to be around, the information we take in and leave out. They guide our conversations, the choices we make, the way we interact with our world.

Our working assumptions, both at the individual level and as a society, help us navigate our changing and complex world with a sense of security and control. But not all working assumptions are created equal. Some are better able to drive the change we seek to make and shift the current narrative to one that is fueled by possibility, building connection, trust, and an affinity for a common good.

Let us consider the assumptions we are choosing to live by, letting go of those that stand in opposition to the value we seek to share, and adopting new ones that bring us closer to the people we desire to be.
