Cheers to mistakes

From an early age we are taught to believe that people who get stuff wrong are irresponsible and oftentimes lazy. That to succeed in life one must follow the rules and make as little mistakes as possible.

But making mistakes isn’t something we should avoid. It’s part of the deal.

If we intend to put ourselves out there, if we’re going to show our work in an effort to make a difference, then we’re bound to make mistakes. That’s a fact.

It’s not the mistake that matters, it’s our response to those mistakes that makes all difference.

Embrace your mistakes. Accept they’re part of the deal. Learn from them. Then try again. Fail. Learn. And repeat.

Cheers to making more mistakes. To learning from mistakes.

And most importantly, cheers to leveraging mistakes to make things better.
