Will this work?
Two years ago I set out to start this blog. I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. Wasn’t quite sure what I would talk about. And certainly wasn’t sure if people would even pay attention.
All I knew was that I wanted to contribute something to the world. I wanted to share words that one day might inspire others to take a similar leap into a creative project, change in career, the pursuit of a passion, the launch of a business idea, the start of a conversation, or the kindling of a relationship.
Nobody knows for sure what’s going to work.
And yet, we can choose to be curious. We can decide to break away from what’s expected, challenge the status quo, embrace uncertainty, and leap into something we can be proud of. Something that gives us great joy in making and maybe, just maybe, as a bonus touches another human.
We are responsible for shaping our journey.
If we want to make things better, we have to be willing to explore the edges of our comfort.
We have to be curious and take responsibility for our actions.
It’s in this moment, the moment we finally jump and begin to put to practice our imagination and generosity that we discover we are the mapmaker.
The journey is long. And the possibilities are endless.
